Neighborhoods like Westhaven just don’t happen. Creating an engaged, sustaining community takes effort, planning, and a group of committed volunteers willing to contribute their time, talents, experiences, and resources.
Acting as a catalyst, and fostering grassroots ideas make us stronger. Our best programs and events started from small ideas that took root and grew. Porchfest, Foundation Park, Hillsboro Tomorrow, Franklin 4 the Cure, Memorial Day Block Party, Witchaven, and many more.
They are the lifeblood of our community spirit. From our results-oriented board members to our event volunteers, they make our community a better place. We would be delighted to talk with you about volunteering!
A thriving neighborhood comes from all stakeholders sharing a common goal. We are grateful for the generous support from Southern Land Company and the HOA to enrich the quality of life for anyone who lives in Westhaven.
The Westhaven Foundation was started by a committed group of residents in 2007 and is an officially registered 501(c)3 nonprofit entity. The mission of the organization is to serve our community through financial support and volunteerism and to be a catalyst to help others in the community conduct programs of their own. The Westhaven Foundation has raised over $1,500,000 in cumulative charitable donations.
Designed to nurture a strong sense of community while enhancing the quality of life of Westhaven families and the surrounding community, the Foundation is under the stewardship of a Board of Trustees comprised of volunteers from Westhaven and leaders from the surrounding community.
Though The Westhaven Foundation has a very small part-time staff, a dedicated Board of Trustees, committed volunteers execute the programs and initiatives we promote. We are very grateful for the support of Southern Land Company and the HOA.
We welcome all contributions, whether they be financial or by volunteering your time.
Our funding comes from direct fundraising and transfer fees from real estate transactions. The funding is not part of HOA dues.
