Our Excellence in Education program provides direct support to our local public schools, provides college scholarships, and supports youth educational programs via Boys and Girls Clubs of Williamson County and the summer reading program at the Williamson County Library.
Deadline March 14
The Westhaven Foundation College Scholarship Committee identifies Westhaven and Williamson County resident students who most exemplify the spirit of the Westhaven community through their demonstrated voluntary efforts in the areas of activism, civic involvement and charity, and reward them through scholarship awards for these non-academic efforts.
We have established The Westhaven Foundation Scholarships to support both Westhaven and Williamson County high school graduates in furthering their education and declared nursing majors throughout their college years.
There are a total of 5 scholarships available for the 2025 year:
The Fountain Scholarship will award $5,000 to one student and $2,500 to an additional student for residents of the Westhaven Community in Franklin, TN.
The Grimes Lift Scholarship will award $5,000 to one student and $2,500 to an additional student residing in Williamson County, TN
The Debbie Jones Memorial Nursing Scholarship will award $2,500 to one student residing in Williamson County, TN
Both the Fountain and the Grimes Lift scholarships will be awarded to rising college freshmen demonstrating a high degree of volunteerism along with strong community involvement, and who are continuing their education at an accredited college or university, vocational or other post-secondary educational program. Applicants for the Debbie Jones Memorial Nursing Scholarship must meet the same criteria, albeit, they may apply as high school seniors or for any year while in college with a nursing major. Please note that a recipient of the Debbie Jones Memorial Scholarship is eligible to receive the scholarship once only.
Students may submit an application for only one scholarship.
Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.7 to demonstrate potential success in their educational programs.
The Scholarships will be awarded without regard to means, race, religion, or gender.
All applications and required attachments must be received by the Westhaven Foundation Scholarship Coordinator by March 14, 2025.
Applications will be reviewed and recipients selected by The Westhaven Foundation Scholarship Committee. All decisions are final. Scholarship recipients will be notified by April 11, 2025.
