westhaven Foundation Park

In 2019, a group of residents and Foundation Board members decided it was time to think big. We asked ourselves this question: "What one capital investment can we make today that will have the biggest impact on life in Westhaven now, and forever?" Eventually we decided to invest in what many felt was our best asset: The Westhaven Lake waterfront. We conducted focus groups that concluded we should take steps to provide more access to the water for people of all ages - including those with physical challenges. To preserve a place forever for many different non-commercial activities. To provide access to the water for water sports, and activate many new activities by bringing in shade and park amenities. This resulted in a wonderful plan for a highly adaptable and beautiful community park.

Here is where you can now join in: The total cost of the park as planned is $420,000. The good news is that the land was provided by the HOA at no cost. Most of the park was done in 2020, with the last phase of a Pergola to completed in 2026. 

This has been the first fundraiser ever conducted by The Westhaven Foundation for a capital project. We moved forward, because we believe that this community can do great things when we work together. We believe in you.
